Gears for Good National Ride
Gears for Good charity bikes
rides raise awareness and funds for families living with bleeding disorders.
All funds raised by riders support Hemophilia Federation of America’s Helping
Hands program, which supports families with urgent funding to assist with basic
living expenses such as housing, transportation, and utility bills.
Once again this year, Get Out and Go Tours will lead the group on this 3-Day, 156-mile charity bike ride.
We’ll meet near the end of the C&O Canal in Georgetown early the first morning to shuttle to the Paw Paw tunnel on the C&O Canal, where we’ll unload and start using our gears for good, raising funds for Helping Hands. We’ll spend the next three days together, enjoying the C&O Canal, the small towns that border it, and perhaps taking an optional side-trip to Antietam Battlefield.
This ride is fully supported with gear shuttle, lodging, meals, cue cards, and mechanical support - all included. This means you can ride the whole daily distance, or just a portion of it, without worry.
If you wish to pay for your own room, we would welcome your contribution. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements.
